It is a recognised fact that there are a lot of people, who have tried many, many affiliate programs and have promoted (as well as they know how) this and that on the Internet and their profit was almost zero.
You read daily about how this is the only program that can get you into the Top Ten on Google and how you must sign up now to get in before the rush. What absolute rubbish this type of promotion is.
Generally the advertising methods used in these promotions are effective in that they get people to sign up in programs which they would never normally use or if they did, they never ever achieved anything of value, even after 6 months of consistent effort.

The problem with nearly all types of internet marketing affiliate programs is that they provide all the reasons why you should sign up now and pay for your first monthly subscription so that everyone else who joins after you is in your downline.
All that happens is that you join this and that, and your credit card spins out of control and there are no results to measure.
Stick to a few marketing programs first while spending a limited amount of monthly fees. Then once you know what you have to do to market effectively, and the cost, move on.
The Affiliate Marketing Process
In most cases the cart is put before the horse. The cart (your affiliate program) and the horse (your marketing program) cannot ever be hooked up the wrong way. Or else you will fail.
The geek/guru marketers already have their marketing systems up and running and when a new program comes along, they simply plug it in, and away they go.
Now everyone should know that to be able to receive commissions because people are in their downlines, they have to first qualify themselves. If you do not qualify then there are no commissions paid, no matter if there are 10 million people in the downl! ine.
However, to achieve qualification one must personally sign up a certain number of downline members themselves, (and also these members must remain financial).
This is the one point where most people stop. They simply do not know how to effectively market the product or affiliate program that they are now a member of, to enough people to become successful. Then they drop out.
What to do First and HOW
Wouldn't it be really really SMART to learn how to market before worrying about entering the latest and greatest affiliate programs. Don't worry they keep coming along and each one is the best there ever was and so on.
There will always be a quality program to join when you are ready.
Take action NOW
You can take up this advice and start putting your system in place or you can simply move along to another page somewhere else, and they can be found everywhere. These pages could be read almost forever and still there would not be any concrete steps taken to start your own marketing program.
How to Earn Income
There are different ways that you can earn income from the Internet. Affiliate programs, Google Adsense, Clickbank, Paypal, Ebay etc. You can build a website for yourself, especially if you already have a business of your own, or you can have one created for you with ads already placed on them with your ID's in them.

Now it will cost some money to set up the things which you will need. No complete program is free. The free parts, some are very good, do not usually give you the whole system, unless there is a catch. Anyone can understand why.
However, once you obtain these systems you keep them forever, it's not a try today and then forget about it thing. They must be consistently worked forever to provide the success you desire.
