Keys To Marketing Online

Keys To Marketing Online

Marketing online can be a real joy, however, there are some difficulties that make the entire process overwhelming. Just what does one need in order to market products online?  I have found that there are a five basic parts of the process of online marketing.  The five parts are: online marketing tools, lead capture page, database, auto-responder, and the actual business.   The mastering of each of these five basic parts is not always easy and, oftentimes, takes skill and knowledge.  The skill and knowledge can be learned, no doubt.  It is up to each entrepreneur to decide exactly how rapidly he or she will become proficient with these parts.

To begin the process of online marketing, a person needs online marketing tools that will reach out to this vast cyberspace and find individuals interested in any particular product or service.  When I talk about online marketing tools, I am referring to many current options and older options.  Some of the more traditional tools are the following: emails, offline marketing, classified advertising, ezines, ppc, and banners.  These have been very useful over the years but have run into difficulties, also.  For example, emails used to be so dependable in reaching the destination but with all of the filters in place today, the email usually ends up in a junk file and never read.   Now, offline marketing or simply talking to individuals face-to-face can be very productive but takes an excessive amount of time. In this day and age where every second counts, trying to locate people on your own can be an all day process.  Classified  ads, ezines, ppc, and banners are good options but can have a significant price tag.

Some of the newer tools that allow you to reach don't necessarily cost very much, let you reach millions of people, and take very little time.  These tools that I am talking about are: SEO, blogging, social medias, videos, viral marketing, and more.   Fortunately, there are new tools developing on a regular basis, all designed to help online marketers reach the interested customer.

OK, we have the tools to reach the millions of people but how do we connect with these customers?  This is when we need the second of the five basic parts or the lead capture page.  The designing of a lead capture page that is eye-catching and causes people to react and sign-up for more information is vital to successful marketing.  Without an effective ability to access interested people, it becomes almost impossible to have a lucrative online business.  The designing of a lead capture page is composed of an attractive page, oftentimes, offers some valuable/free information, and requests that the person provide his name, email address, phone number, etc.  Now, when the person submits the personal information, an amazing process takes place.  The person is sent to the website of interest, his name is entered into a database, and his requested information is sent to him.   This all happens within a split second.  The person entering the information is pleased to receive the information and the vital personal information is stored in the marketer's database for future communication.   Over a period of time, many names of interested prospects are gathered for business.

This accumulation of names or leads is built into the heart of the marketing process, which is the third basic part or the database.   This database is a software program designed to gather the interested customers.  These customers have proven their interest by the simple procedure of submitting their personal information through the lead capture page.  Once a marketer gathers leads, the leads are made into lists, and the lists provide the critical element needed to quickly reach customers truly interested.   They are interested in not only learning about the product but, oftentimes, in purchasing the product.

The fourth basic tool is the autoresponder.  Why does one need an autoresponder?   It is a known fact that people do not always make a purchase the first time interest is shown.    Sometimes, it takes up to seven exposures before a customer will make a purchase.  So, instead of manually trying to send out tens or hundreds or thousands of letters over and over again, an autoresponder is used to contact the potential customer automatically.  There are many features to become acquainted with in regards to the autoresponder.

The fifth basic tool is the actual business.   Up to this point, the marketer has reached potential customers but has not presented the business in detail.  In order to keep the customer happy, there needs to be a business to share that corresponds with the information he has responded to.  There are numerous scams on the Interent and are very discouraging.  This is where the marketer needs to do some serious studies about any business being offered.   The business needs to be sound and worth pursuing  not only to the marketer but to the person becoming involved, also.

In conclusion, I must say that I see these five keys to the online marketing process in action everyday.  The bottom line is that online marketers are looking for ways to make money online.  In order to reach responsive customers, the entrepreneur needs a system to reach out to serious customers and provide a product or service that satisfies their desires.  With the desires satisfied, the customer positively responds and business is accomplished.  Online marketing is a process that improves on a regular basis, but continues to use the five basic keys.  Knowing the five basic keys makes online marketing very understandable, productive, and satisfying.
